- Quote within 48 hours. Fixed-price quote. Clear scope. Clear timeline. No surprises.
- 50% deposit. On quote acceptance. This locks in your build slot.
- Build. Design first, build second. You see drafts. Two to three rounds of revisions, structured so we don't go in circles.
- 50% on completion. Site goes live on your domain. Final files and source code handed over.
FAQ
The questions I get asked most.
I don't have website copy. What now?
This is the most common situation. We work it out together. I help you define your audience, your messaging and write the copy properly. It's included in every project — not an upsell. Most small business owners don't know what to write, and that's normal.
I don't have professional photos.
We work with what you have first. If photos are genuinely missing or weak, I'll tell you which ones to take with your phone (or arrange a small shoot). For some sites, stock imagery and illustration work fine. We'll figure it out on the strategy call.
I'm not technical. Will I be able to use this?
Yes. The whole point of working with me is that I handle the technical side. WordPress sites come with training so you can post updates yourself. HTML and Shopify sites I update for you (small text edits are quick). You don't need to learn anything.
How does payment work?
50% deposit on quote acceptance to start the work. 50% on project completion before the site goes live. EFT or card. No hidden fees. No monthly retainers (unless you want one later for SEO or updates).
How much does a small business website actually cost in South Africa?

Do you handle hosting and domain registration?
I don't run hosting accounts or resell domains. I'll guide you through registering your domain and choosing a reliable host once. You own those accounts directly. Typical cost: R150–R300/year for the domain, R80–R200/month for hosting. If you've already got both, even better.
Will my website rank on Google?
Every site ships with a proper SEO foundation: meta tags, schema, sitemap, fast load and semantic HTML. That gets you indexed properly. For ongoing keyword work, content writing or link-building, we'd scope an SEO retainer separately. The base site is set up to rank — what you do after launch determines how high.
Can I update the site myself later?
Depends on the tier. Custom-coded HTML — I do edits for you (small ones are quick and free for the first 30 days). WordPress — you get full editing access and a 1-hour training session. Shopify — full admin panel for products, prices and content.
What if I'm on Wix, Squarespace or Webflow already?
I'll migrate you off. The uplift is usually 10–20% over the equivalent tier. Less than people expect. The result is a site that's faster, cheaper to run long-term and actually owned by you.
What happens after launch?
30 days of free small fixes. After that, ad-hoc work is billed by the hour or scoped as a small retainer. No surprise charges, no monthly lock-in. If something breaks, I fix it.
